Pachysandra procumbans / Allegheny spurge

A shrubby, slow-spreading native groundcover preferred over the invasive Asian species Pachysandra terminalis. The dense, semi-evergreen leaves create a safe home for early-emerging native bees and butterflies, and provides foraging grounds for birds, like Robins, Towhees, and Thrushes.
