The bright flowers have yellow bases that act as landing pads for bumblebees, mason bees, and butterflies. Strong roots grip the dirt, preventing soil erosion near the edges of ponds. Can grow in 2-4” of shallow standing water, such as muddy bottoms or in containers in frog ponds. After Fall frost, leaves can be trimmed back to about 1” above the crown.

Note: will naturalize to form colonies in the wild.
