What are native plants?
Native plants are those that have evolved indigenously within an ecosystem, without human introduction.*
They are best suited for - and provide a beneficial role in - their environment, from feeding and sheltering wildlife to shoring up and fertilizing soil.
Why native plants?
Native plants are "the ecological basis upon which life depends," according to the National Audubon Society.
No pressure, right?
Keystone and host species
